Philoptochos Society

The Ladies' Philoptochos Society at St. George Greek Orthodox Church is an organization for women of all ages, centered in philanthropy and fellowship. The Philoptochos provides comfort and companionship for the less fortunate and supports our church in all of its endeavors. This group works not only for the our own parish, but for many philanthropic projects at the Diocesan and Archdiocesan level as well. While sponsoring social functions, church related activities, and philanthropic fund raisers, the women form lasting friendships. They are responsible for such projects as:

• Fundraisers
• Nursing Home visits
• Hospital visits
• Decorating the church for special events
• Beautifying the church
• Epitafiou flowers
• Coffee Hour

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. We hope to see you there!
